An old ad
I found this lovely old ad from somewhere a while ago (probably one of the copyfight blogs), and it has always cheered me. I love the fact that people were panicking over pirates back when right management was done by handsigning documents with a fountain pen and hoping that the postal system didn’t break down due to a boat sinking.

UPDATE: Thanks to the marvel of Easter (and the help of Stefan Görling), I’ve managed to fix several of the issues with this blog. So parts of the below no longer holds. Although I may still try out Vox.
I’ve been checking out other platforms as of late. This blog, for what it is worth, is done as a WordPress-thingy, but since I really don’t understand the technology behind it, there are tons of things I cannot do. For some reason I cannot upload images, I never got that Snap-thing working (maybe for the best, it seems people hate them), and I can’t figure out how to embed cool widgets (and since every time I try stuff out, I break it, so I haven’t experimented that much). So I’ve been checking out things like Vox, TypePad and the likes. I’d like something less techy, with more bells and whistles. Maybe then I’d learn to blog better. (Yeah, it’s a cop-out, but it’s my cop-out.)

I love typewriters. I’m thinking about buying an old 1940’s one, just to revel in the archaic materialism of it all. As a consequence, I also loved the New Yorkers essay-review of The Iron Whim.
