The Most Academic Sport Ever

I think I blogged about chessboxing once, a long, long time ago, when no-one knew what blogging was. But that was then, on a long-dead blog, so I felt I would touch upon it anew. Think about it, can there be any more academic sport? You have the structure of chess combined with the aggro of boxing, so the sport should feel like a regular conference. So why not co-brand a conference (like CMS5) with the World Chess Boxing Organisation?

As for my own The chess playing is closely related to school (studiing smth new) (I was a member of school chess team).
When i was 9 i won 2 place in chess in international chess competition in School of Soviet embassy in Angola.
and fun: later i lose all games in chess in another championship, but win the 2nd prize in checkers (being sad I took place in checkers championship by the way to my home).
I suppose the checkers is more dinamic sport )))

So I think that’s chess is the best academic sport… after checkers!

Checkersboxing would be more dinamic… but less intellectual
